Lucas D'Angelo - Artist
Gaspard Carpentier - camera and editing
To mark the release of the premier album, "X Amount of Time", by the alternative rock band Jovians Moons, I had the opportunity to direct and produce the music video for the track "On My Own". The goal was to explore innovative visual aesthetics for each video. Here, the focus was on the Sandrøse 2025 aesthetic, transposed into the band's universe.

Artistic adaptation and consistency
After an initial meeting with the band leader, Lucas D’Angelo, we decided that the shoot would be handled by Lucas and Gaspard Carpenter. I then developed a shooting guide based on the rendering technique used, keyframe painting, in order to obtain usable shots that were perfectly adapted for post-production.
At the same time, I created various color grading proposals for the band, presenting several aesthetic directions.
Artistic adaptation and consistency
Once the shots were filmed and the AD validated with the artist, I worked on the image in post-production to create this highly textured, paint-like render. I also aligned the color grading with the reference image chosen by the band. I created about twenty digital paintings (Photoshop, Procreate), then reworked each shot in post-production using these painted versions as references (EbSynth and After Effects).
Paintings and dreamlike journey
On My Own is a song about solitude, driven by soaring, atmospheric, and progressive sounds. The accompanying music video portrays the singer wandering through vast rural spaces with surreal hues. The purple and orange tones emphasize the melancholy emanating from the track, while the painterly treatment seeks to create the impression of a dream frozen in time, like a moment of introspection.
